Reaction Time Exhibition by Hands On!

Act fast!

Reaction Time Exhibition by Hands On!How long does it take a command from your brain to get to your muscles? A quick reaction time can make all the difference in everything from professional sports to everyday activities like driving a car. This experience tests just how quick a person can react to an audible signal that is linked to sound at random intervals. Upon hearing the signal, the visitor presses a button and sees their reaction time displayed in either a cascade of LED lights or in a digital readout. Repeated attempts usually reduce the visitor's reaction time, underscoring the idea that practice can help keep the nervous system in peak condition.

The Reaction, Grip, Balance, Flexibility and Endurance exhibits make a great group that covers multiple fitness topics in a visitor-friendly format.
